The check is pulled through the slot. It is up to the policy makers to decide whether the cash drawer should pop open when a check is tendered for the exact amount. Cash drawers do have slots in front for the purpose of accepting checks without opening up. In our case, the customer wrote the check for $10 over, and so as soon as the check is endorsed, the drawer pops open regardless, and the receipt shoots out of the printer with a final whine. And there you are. We can't cram everything into one transaction. In time we hope to create a few more slide shows to demonstrate some of the other features as part of our documentation. We dare to hope for a user manual one day. ![]() Item on this receipt is printed in the order they are rung up. There is another version of the receipt that group multiple items together under the department headings. The Wedge Co-op uses the second version these days, but prints the first version on request, using the reprint feature.
